Battle of the Bridge Spirit Week and Other Updates

Posted Date: 8/18/23 (3:59 PM)

Next week is spirit week to celebrate the Battle of the Bridge! Each day will be a special dress up day:

Monday- Jersey Day- We have to team up to beat the Loudon Redskins!
Tuesday- Hats and Shades Day- Too cool for the Loudon Redskins!
Wednesday- Decades Day (dress from any decade)- It's TIME to beat Loudon!
Thursday- Workout Day- Got to get ready for the pregame show!
Friday- PANTHER DAY!- Orange and Black everything!

We are still collecting cans and donations for the Battle of the Bridge Canned Food Drive which benefits the Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County.

Grade levels are in competition with one another and the winning grade level will get to experience a Pep Rally with LCHS football players and cheerleaders on Friday afternoon!
The current placings are:
1st Place: 3rd Grade
2nd Place: 1st Grade
3rd Place: 2nd Grade
4th Place- PreK and K
The winning classroom in each grade level also wins a Pizza Party!

There is also a BRAND NEW challenge that has been announced for next week!
  • Each class that raises at least $50 next week will win a class-wide popsicle treat on Friday, Sept. 1st... this is for every class that brings in $50 from Monday-Friday of next week in addition to totals that have already been collected.
  • The class that raises the most next week (Monday through Friday) will win a $25 gift card to spend on their class in addition to their popsicle treat!
Next week- the ENTIRE week- is also the Battle of the Chicken Nugget. Eat at Chick-fil-A anytime (and as many times as you like) next week and tell them you want your order to count toward LENOIR CITY and a portion of your purchase will count toward Lenoir City's contributions to Good Sam!

Other Important Updates:
Our final students- Pre-K- will begin on our campus full-time Monday August 21. This will create additional morning traffic and particularly impact our parking lot traffic since all Pre-K parents are required by the state to walk students to class. We encourage students in grades K-3 to use the drop-off lane instead of parking if at all possible. All cars should be parked in a parking space. Please do not block other cars and please note the areas where parking is prohibited on the map below.

Pre-K will dismiss at 1:45 each afternoon. We encourage parents picking up K-3 students to wait until AFTER 2:15 to begin lining up (dismissal for K-3 students is 2:50).  Pre-K will use the inside lane only. K-3 parents can begin lining up in the outside lane only until all of Pre-K dismissal is complete and then both lanes will be available.

Thank you for your cooperation! Have a wonderful weekend!
